About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN History Teacher to teach across both the Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft sites. You will deliver a creative and adapted History curriculum designed to spark curiosity, promote critical thinking, and bring the past to life for learners with a range of SEN profiles.

The curriculum is flexible, highly engaging, and designed around movement-based learning, with physical activity integrated into 50% of the school day. The school operates a clear non‑restraint policy and prioritises relational, therapeutic approaches to behaviour, helping learners feel safe, understood, and motivated.

SEN History Teacher - Key Requirements

You will be a strong fit for this role if you have:

QTS or QTLS - experienced teachers encouraged to apply

Experience teaching History at KS3 or KS4 (mainstream, SEN, or alternative provision considered)

Confidence in adapting the History curriculum for pupils with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and SEMH needs

A strong ability to personalise learning and differentiate creatively

Understanding of EHCPs, individual learning plans, and behaviour support strategies

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (due to travel between sites)
