About the Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming Early Years team in Lichfield (WS13). This role involves supporting young children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can learn, play and thrive.
You will work closely with the nursery team to support children's development, wellbeing and learning through play-based activities and structured early years learning.
Key Responsibilities
•
Support children aged 0–5 in line with the EYFS framework
•
Assist with planning and delivering engaging learning activities
•
Support children's social, emotional and educational development
•
Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating learning environment
•
Observe and record children's progress where required
•
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of care
•
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies
Requirements
•
Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3 or equivalent)
•
Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
•
A genuine passion for working with young children
•
Good communication and teamwork skills
•
Understanding of the EYFS framework
•
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Desirable
•
Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
•
Experience supporting children with additional needs
•
Knowledge of child development and early learning strategies
