About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner – Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive Early Years team in Stafford (ST16). The successful candidate will support children within the Early Years (EY) environment, helping to create a safe, engaging and nurturing space where children can develop, learn and grow.
Working alongside experienced practitioners, you will assist in delivering high-quality early years care and education through play-based learning and structured activities.
Key Responsibilities
•
Support children aged 0–5 within the Early Years environment
•
Assist with planning and delivering fun, engaging learning activities
•
Promote children’s social, emotional and educational development
•
Help maintain a safe, clean and stimulating nursery setting
•
Observe and support children’s progress and development
•
Work closely with colleagues to provide high standards of care
•
Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies
Requirements
•
Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3 or equivalent)
•
Experience working in a nursery or early years setting
•
Passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing
•
Good communication and teamwork skills
•
Understanding of early years development and learning
•
Awareness of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Desirable
•
Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
•
Experience supporting children with additional needs
•
Knowledge of EY learning and development approaches
