Trainee Trading Manager – Asset Finance
Role Purpose
The Trainee Trading Manager – Asset Finance is responsible for leading, managing and owning the lender facing trading function, ensuring that all deals generated by internal sales teams and third-party introducers are efficiently packaged, placed, progressed and completed in line with commercial objectives, lender requirements and FCA regulatory expectations, including Consumer Duty. The role has end-to-end accountability for lender relationships, deal quality, pipeline conversion and overall trading performance, acting as the senior point of control between sales, introducers and funders to maximise approval rates, turnaround times and sustainable customer outcomes.
Full training to be provided to the successful applicant.
Skills & Experience:
Any experience in asset finance brokerage or commercial lending.
Knowledge of HP, lease, refinance, soft asset and specialist funding products.
Experience managing and optimising lender panels and negotiating credit terms and mandates.
Demonstrable track record of improving deal quality, conversion performance and trading efficiency.
Experience operating within an FCA-regulated credit broking environment (desirable).
Strong commercial judgement, high attention to detail and sound risk awareness.
