The Role:
Citizens Advice Staffordshire South West offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bid Writer and Fundraiser to join its team within a well-established local charity that makes a real difference in its community. We are an independent local charity and a member of the Citizens Advice national network.
We are seeking an experienced Bid Writer and fundraiser to join our team. The successful candidate will develop persuasive, compelling, compliant tender responses to support income generation for our charity. You will be responsible for proactively generating income by identifying new funding opportunities, building relationships and networking with key stakeholders and creative partnership proposals.
Applicants need to have:
● Proven track record in bid writing and making successful bids,tenders and grant applications.
● Effective communication skills (oral & writing)
● Knowledge of the funding landscape and local VCSE network
● A good knowledge of the UK funding and charitable landscape.
● A good understanding of commissioning processes and frameworks
● Strong research and analytical skills to support the identification and
evaluation of funding opportunities and tender requirements.
● Ability to interpret funding criteria and translate service delivery into compelling proposals.
● Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage complex tenders,
precise scheduling and multiple and shifting priorities
● Results-oriented and a fast learner, you respond quickly to pressure and a changing environment.
● A strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
● Experience in fundraising through campaigns and events,
individual giving, or demonstrable transferable skills.
● Experience delivering community fundraising.
● Ability to produce and deliver compelling presentations and talks
● Ability to work collaboratively with team colleagues, other
staff, and external parties in the development and submission
of high-quality tender responses.
● Understand, empathise, and be committed to Citizens Advice aims, principles and EDI policies.
● Knowledge of local community profile, needs and resources.
● Ability to contribute to the management team combined with willingness to learn and develop
