Job Summary
The Procurement Co‑ordinator supports the purchasing function by managing supplier relationships, processing purchase orders,
tracking deliveries, and ensuring goods and services are acquired in a timely, cost‑effective, and compliant manner. This role
plays a key part in maintaining smooth operations by coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure procurement
activities align with organisational needs.
Accountabilities
Supplier Management
* Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes, pricing, and ensure quality service.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to support long‑term procurement goals.
* Assist in evaluating supplier performance, identifying risks, and supporting continuous improvement.
Cost & Compliance
* Support cost‑saving initiatives by comparing pricing and identifying more efficient sourcing options.
* Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company procedures and audit requirements.
* Review invoices for accuracy and collaborate with finance to resolve discrepancies.
Cross‑Department Collaboration
* Work closely with operations, finance, logistics, and other internal teams to understand purchasing needs.
* Communicate timelines, potential delays, and supply chain issues proactively.
* Assist in preparing procurement reports and analytics for management review.
Health & Safety
* Ensure safe working practices are maintained and current legislation adhered to
* Comply with company health and safety policy and procedure
* Maintain good housekeeping standards and improve where necessary
