Summary
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a children’s residential provider in Newark-on-Trent to look for a Residential Support Worker / RSW. Residential Support Worker / RSW, you will support the learning, emotional, social and behavioural needs of children and young people within both of their residential homes and, at times, within their school environment.
We are looking for a Residential Support Worker / RSW to work on a full-time basis. Working hours are 39hrs a week spread over Mon - Sun. Shift examples could be: 7am-10pm/7am-2pm/2pm-10pm with sleep ins included.
You’ll play an important role in everyday life, helping young people feel safe, valued and supported while contributing to care plans, daily routines, and meaningful experiences.
The successful Residential Support Worker / RSW will have:
• Experience of working to therapeutic models such as P.A.C.E
• Level 3 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or the willingness to work towards this
• Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviours or trauma
• ‘Can-do’ attitude
• Flexibility with shifts
• A full driving licence
