Summary

We are working with a well-established international engineering and infrastructure specialist to assist them in hiring a Graduate Estimator for their growing team in Edinburgh. With a strong reputation for delivering complex civil engineering and ground engineering projects, our client is looking for an ambitious graduate who is eager to develop their career within a supportive and technically driven environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in the tendering and estimating process while working alongside experienced professionals on a range of challenging infrastructure projects. As the Graduate Estimator your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions for civil engineering projects
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical documents to support pricing exercises
* Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and cost information
* Supporting the preparation of bills of quantities and cost breakdowns
* Working with the wider commercial and engineering teams during the tender process
* Maintaining accurate records of estimates, assumptions, and supporting documentation

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
* Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn within a technical environment
* Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
