Crynodeb
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a professional and sympathetic manner under the direct and indirect supervision of the community midwife. Ability to work as part of an enhanced care pathway team providing continuity of care Improve the accessibility of information, including through an improved translation offer for those without English as their first language Improve accessibility of information, including through a focus on addressing digital exclusion and by providing materials in accessible and easy read and translated formats. Working within the community team to ensure excellent collaborative working and achieve a high standard of care. Delivering care to women and babies to assist them in their daily living activities within the home environment and liaising promptly with the assigned midwife any concerns with regards to the mother and babys well-being. Developing knowledge and understanding of the needs of the newborn baby and give practical support to mothers with the care of their babies such as bathing, weighting and cord care. Assisting women in their chosen method of infant feeding. Assisting the community midwives with antenatal clinics and Parent Education Classes. Alerting appropriate personnel to Safeguarding concerns Developing relevant clerical and IT skills to support the needs of the community midwifery team. Will be to carry out the full role as a Band 3 Maternity Care Assistant Lone worker in homes, community hubs and a variety of sites, develop and maintain skills in the agreed competencies
