REQUIREMENTS Diploma/Degree in Nursing. Actively registered on the NMC. Experience of working with young people with an eating disorder preferred although not essential. Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team. Experience of supervising staff preferred although not essential. Mentorship qualification either being worked towards, achieved or applicant is willing to complete. MAIN DUTIES To carry out specialist nursing assessments of young people referred to the service. Devise comprehensive care plans and risk assessments and co-ordinate this care and treatment. Regularly review progress with the goal of transferring their care to an alternative care provider when stabilised. To formulate and implement plans for nursing treatment and/or management. To be responsible for implementing a range of nursing interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups. Support junior nursing colleagues as well as senior nursing colleagues in the team. Undertake shifts in Duty and Triage, oversight of the Physical Health Clinics. Manage own caseload of complex cases, this will involve attending meeting relating to their care and treatment, this may require organisation of the meeting, chairing the meeting and overseeing the completion of actions from the meeting. Liaising with internal and external agencies involved in the care and treatment of the CYP. Please note; Training in FT-AN will be provided if the post holder does not already possess this.
