Ensure all guest rooms are immaculate, orderly, and fully furnished to provide maximum comfort.
Ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes.
Welcome guests upon arrival and respond promptly, professionally, and confidently to requests, complaints, or emergencies.
Present menus, assist guests with food and beverage selection, take and serve orders, issue bills, and accept payments.
Handle complaints or problems with a positive, solution-focused attitude.
Housekeeping & Cleaning Duties
Perform full housekeeping services after guest check-out, including:
Replacing linens and towels
Emptying and sanitizing bins
Restocking toiletries in an orderly manner
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
Dusting furniture, removing cobwebs, and cleaning blinds and curtains (arranging washing and ironing where required)
Cleaning glass, windows, partition doors, electrical outlets, walls, sideboards, toilets, and high-touch surfaces
Spot clean as needed and rearrange rooms to the required standard.
Clean and maintain communal and public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, reception, coffee shop, meeting rooms, and event spaces.
Prepare and maintain restaurant tables with strict attention to sanitation and presentation.
Maintain serving areas and ensure overall cleanliness and tidiness.
Laundry & Linen Management
Inspect all linens and treat stains as required.
Operate washing machines and dryers using the correct cleaning agents.
Dry, iron, and fold laundry according to manufacturer recommendations.
Visually inspect laundry equipment and report maintenance issues.
Move, organize, and store linen in designated linen rooms across floors.
Security & Night Porter Duties
Conduct regular fire walks throughout the night to ensure safety of corridors, exits, and public areas.
Perform hourly patrols of the building, including car parks and all entrances.
Ensure all front, back, and emergency doors are secure at all times.
Monitor CCTV and remain vigilant for unusual, illegal, or dangerous activity.
Prevent unauthorized access, intruders, or squatters.
Maintain the overall safety and security of the hotel during night shifts.
Carry out smoke tests and additional safety checks as required.
Operations, Administration & Technology
Use the cleaning app to log tasks and upload photos of completed cleans.
Maintain accurate booking and payment records using Zeevou and in-house systems.
Understand and effectively use all relevant property technology.
Track and report recurring maintenance, cleanliness, or security issues to management.
Send reports to OE upon request.
Maintain inventory of cleaning and operational supplies and report replenishment needs.
Teamwork & Communication
Collaborate closely with the Property Manager, Maintenance Personnel, and Operations team.
Communicate regularly with the remote team via Discord.
Participate in weekly meetings.
Assist with hotel host duties, kitchen preparation, and stock checks.
Competencies
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently throughout the night
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to use initiative and follow written and verbal instructions
Knowledge of general health and safety procedures
