Job Summary
The administrative resource unit (ARU) is a large team of professional administrators who provide a range of admin support across the organisation. Although you will be based in one directorate, the ARU is a flexible resource, moving to meet business need and adding variety and skills to the day job.
The aim of the Personal Assistant is to provide high quality and effective support to specific senior managers/Deputy Directors, enabling them to carry out their own role as effectively as possible. Key responsibilities include working with other administrators to contribute to best practice; organising manager’s calendars and travel, making effective decisions based on sound judgement, and proactively adding to the development and improvement of relevant administrative processes. The role requires engagement with internal and externals stakeholders to plan and manage activities related to the functions of managers you support.
