Summary

Mechanical Project Manager – Tier 1 M&E Contractor
Norfolk / Cambridge / Suffolk (Multi-site role)
£70,000 – £100,000 DOE + package

We are currently working with a leading Tier 1 M&E contractor who have secured a number of major projects across East Anglia, with individual project values exceeding £30m. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their team.

This is a multi-site role likely to be split between projects in Norfolk, Cambridge and Suffolk.

The Role

As Mechanical Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of large-scale mechanical packages from pre-construction through to handover. You will oversee programme, commercial performance, quality and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing large mechanical packages on major construction projects


  • Coordinating with main contractors, consultants and client teams


  • Overseeing site managers, engineers and subcontractors


  • Managing programme, delivery milestones and installation progress


  • Ensuring health & safety compliance and quality standards are maintained


  • Supporting procurement and commercial management of packages


  • Driving projects through commissioning and handover


    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within M&E / Building Services


    • Experience working with Tier 1 or major M&E contractors (highly desirable)


    • Track record delivering large-scale projects / major mechanical packages


    • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills


    • Ability to manage multiple sites and complex programmes


    • Strong understanding of HVAC, pipework and building services installations
