Summary

We are currently recruiting for a hands on Head Chef to work with us at prestigious workplace site in Bristol.

Location: BS1 5LF

Rate of pay: £37,500 per annum

Working pattern: 40 hours per week, 7am - 3.30pm, Monday – Friday

About The Role:

As Head Chef you will have a strong management background, a passion and flair for exceptional service and fresh food. You will be hands on, leading from the front, driving standards & customer experience. Ensuring your team are using the freshest, seasonal ingredients to create daily Gather & Gather menus. Ensuring that every cup of coffee is extracted to perfection, baked goods and retail displays are presented to highest standard and that our customers are the centre of everything we do. You will demonstrate strong coaching skills to support the development of your team. Build solid client & customer relationships to support the growth of your business. Oversee all financials to ensure all business targets and budgets are achieved.

Key responsibilities:

  • To prepare and oversee all preparation of food to the highest standard – we feed 250 people per day, we provide breakfast and lunch each day plus hospitality such as sandwich lunches, fork buffets, finger food
  • To produce food in a timely fashion to ensure smooth service to the customers
  • To ensure that all appropriate ingredients are available for the menus
  • To develop and plan menus that are in line with client and customer expectations
  • To be creative when menu planning and including the client and customers
  • Pride yourself on food quality and hygiene standard
  • Overall responsibility for managing the kitchen team - BOH team of 4 – Sous Chef, Chef De Partie, Commis Chef and Kitchen Porter
  • Provide feedback and coaching on performance
  • To ensure that the kitchen team have completed up to date COSSH and Food Hygiene
