We are looking for a business support officer to join the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. You will have a diverse portfolio of experience and significant financial acumen that will enable you to support the diverse and complex business activities of the Veterinary Hospitals and First Opinion Practices, optimising efficient and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
The Opportunity:
You will provide proactive business support and management reports for the veterinary clinical services. You will understand the needs of the clinics both educationally and commercially, and you will be able to support budget setting and monitoring from the ground up. You will work within the clinics to ensure that business systems and procedures are in place to maximize efficient practice, providing day-to-day problem solving and facilitating service delivery. You will monitor and review Management Accounts and produce and review KPIs, analyse financial and non-financial performance, cost planned changes and model potential strategies to aid and influence planning.
Your skills and attributes for success:
A high level of analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to respond to immediate problem solving needs.
A business or relevant financial qualification.
A skilled working knowledge of MS Excel.
Experience advising senior management teams.
Experience of recommending and implementing financial change management initiatives.
