Summary

Finance Assistant

Qlar Pneumatic Conveying UK Limited is seeking a motivated and ambitious Finance Assistant to join the finance team. This role offers excellent exposure to financial reporting, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and payroll processes within a supportive management environment.

SALARY: £25,000 to £30,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience) + Benefits

LOCATION: Hybrid working Monday to Thursday from the Harworth, Doncaster Office and Fridays working from Home. Occasional travel to Stonehouse, Gloucester will be required

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, 12-month fixed term contract subject to ongoing review

WORKING HOURS: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday


JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join Qlar Pneumatic Conveying UK Limited at the Harworth office near Doncaster.

Working closely with the Finance Director and the wider management team, the Finance Assistant will support financial operations across the UK entities, including the Redler business based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.

As a Finance Assistant you will gain valuable experience across a range of finance functions including invoicing, reconciliations, month-end reporting, payroll support and audit preparation. This role is ideal for a finance or accounting graduate or someone currently studying or planning to study AAT, CIMA or a similar finance qualification.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Finance Assistant include:

• Sales Ledger Administration: Raise sales invoices, send customer statements and assist with credit control activities including chasing payments

• Credit Insurance Processes: Carry out credit insurance checks and submit required declarations

• Month-End Accounting: Produce and post monthly journals including prepayments and accruals

• Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Complete month-end reconciliations for cashbooks, sales ledger, purchase ledger, prepayments and accruals

• VAT Support: Assist with the calculation, preparation and submission of VAT returns where required

• Audit Preparation: Support the finance team during the annual audit process by preparing documentation and financial data

• Payroll Support: Learn and assist with the monthly payroll process using Sage payroll systems


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Finance Qualification: Ideally studying towards or planning to study AAT, CIMA or an equivalent finance qualification

• IT Skills: Good MS Office skills with strong Microsoft Excel capabilities

• ERP Systems: Prepared to work across multiple ERP and financial management systems

• Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with financial and non-financial stakeholders

• Motivation To Learn: Highly motivated with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes
