The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for a leading chemicals manufacturer. Our client is seeking a Chemical Process Operator to support day?to?day plant operations at their modern facility in Manchester. As the Chemical Process Operator, you’ll join a skilled team, receive strong on?the?job training, and play a key role in maintaining safe, efficient production.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

- Running plant equipment safely and efficiently while completing routine operational tasks.
- Following established processes and parameters to keep production running smoothly.
- Assisting with the installation of machinery and equipment, including preparing work areas and supporting engineering teams.
- Supporting maintenance activities by preparing tools and equipment and assisting with repairs when required.
- Working within strict quality and safety standards, including the correct use of PPE, while contributing

You will have the following qualifications & experience:

- Demonstrable experience in a chemical, batch, or highly regulated manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of safe handling of materials and equipment.
- A background of managing multiple operational tasks, using sound judgement to solve routine issues and maintain consistent production output.
- Hands-on familiarity with automated or semi?automated control systems, with the confidence to monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot equipment within defined parameters.
- Previous experience working to strict safety, environmental, and quality standards, with the resilience and flexibility to operate effectively within a 12?hour continuous shift pattern.
