Loreto St Albans is an 11-18 girls’ academy recognised by OFSTED as outstanding in all areas. With the support of our enthusiastic and accomplished staff our students achieve excellent results, and the Progress 8 performance measure has regularly placed Loreto in the top 2% of schools in the country. The school is oversubscribed and has earned an excellent reputation for discipline, pastoral care and academic standards.

We have a vacancy for a reliable and enthusiastic person to join our premises staff. The successful candidate will join a team who have responsibility for opening/closing the school and for providing a clean, healthy and safe environment for users of the school buildings and grounds.

The role will involve gardening, carrying out maintenance and repair work, requiring non-specialist skills to the school building, grounds, fixtures and fittings, general lifting and assisting the premises team with cleaning duties.You must have practical DIY skills, and proficiency in the operation of machinery, an understanding and ability to support the implementation of relevant policies including Health and Safety and CoSHH would be an advantage.

The successful applicant should be a good communicator and happy to work as part of a small team but also to work on their own initiative.A flexible approach is very important.
