Summary
Position: We are seeking a Learning Resource & Information Assistant to be based at our Thurso campus.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will join the Student Services team and provide a high-quality service to students within the Learning Resource Centre. The post holder will provide a high standard of customer service including providing learning resource advice and guidance to learners and proactively assisting them in accessing and exploiting library stock, services, and facilities.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
The successful candidate will be educated to SCQF Level 7 in an appropriate area. You should have experience of customer support working in a front facing role and should possess good administration skills. You should have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and be able to think creatively about service provision and be persuasive in the communication of new ideas. Working under your own initiative is essential.
A level of Gaelic ability would be advantageous to your application.
Salary: £29,662 - £31,018 per annum, pro rata
Location: Thurso
Working Hours: 16 hours per week (over 4 days), permanent contract
Closing Date: 26th March 2026, 12 noon
