Summary

Early Years Room Leader – Preschool

Location: Shooting Stars Nursery, 55 Compton Road West, Wolverhampton, WV3 9DU
Salary: £15.30 per hour | £31,824 per annum
Contract: Full‑time | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Hours: 7:30am–6:00pm | All year round | Closed on bank holidays

Lead, Inspire and Make an Impact in our Preschool

Are you a creative, confident and nurturing Early Years professional who loves seeing children grow into curious, independent learners? Our well established Wolverhampton team are looking for a warm, enthusiastic and experienced Pre‑School Room Leader to guide and support our children in readiness for school.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy, playful Pre‑School environment and is ready to take the lead in delivering exceptional child‑centred learning.

Who We’re Looking For

A passionate Early Years leader who brings energy, imagination and a genuine love for helping children grow and flourish.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 (or above) full and relevant Early Years qualification
  • Experience working in a children’s day nursery
  • Previous Room Leader or Team Leader experience
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and SEND
  • A warm, engaging approach to building strong partnerships with families
  • A commitment to play‑based, child‑led learning that prepares children for school

About the role

As our Pre‑School Room Leader, you’ll take the lead in creating a joyful, well‑organised and inspiring environment where children feel confident, capable and excited to learn.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and motivate a passionate team to deliver high‑quality Pre‑School learning
  • Act as a Key Person, building positive, supportive relationships with families
  • Plan rich, exciting and meaningful learning experiences that spark curiosity
  • Ensure the room meets EYFS, safeguarding and health & safety standards
  • Foster an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and understood
  • Support, mentor and coach colleagues to continually develop their practice
  • Champion reflective practice, creativity and a love of learning
