Your work will make a real difference by ensuring our spaces are comfortable, well‑maintained, and ready for the activities our customers love.
You’ll play a hands‑on role in maintaining essential building services, equipment, and facilities, helping us create a safe, welcoming environment that supports health, wellbeing, and positive community impact.
What you’ll do as a Technical Assistant You’ll be entrusted to:
- Carry out planned, reactive, ad‑hoc and breakdown maintenance across building services, equipment, and facility assets.
- Maintain, service, and repair systems including electrical lighting, HVAC, ventilation, pool plant systems, catering equipment, fitness equipment, and general building fabric.
- Coordinate specialist external contractors when required and supervise appointment‑based works.
- Undertake new installation, refurbishment and electro‑mechanical works as directed by the management team.
- Complete cyclic checks and ensure pool water quality and building service systems meet required standards for safety, comfort, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Support centre management with technical tasks, ensuring a safe, clean and high‑quality environment for colleagues and customers.
- Does this sound like you? You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- Experience in building or services‑trade roles, ideally with five years’ experience in a similar semi‑skilled or skilled position.
- Strong hands‑on skills with the ability to deliver high‑quality repair, maintenance, and equipment servicing.
- A solid understanding of health, safety, welfare, customer care and quality procedures related to technical operations.
- A motivated, honest, and supportive approach with the ability to work flexibly, including out‑of‑hours call‑outs or multi‑site duties where needed.
- A willingness to undertake training and develop new skills to support your growth.
