Summary
Best Connection are currently looking for an experienced toolmaker, to work for an established manufacturer in the West Drayton area.
Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
40hrs Per week.
Pay: Up to 45K salary dependent on experience.
As a toolmaker, you will be Responsible for the repair, maintenance and improvement to all injection moulding tooling, jigs, fixtures and fittings for press tools, including the below duties:
- To manufacture all work as specified by the job request within 0.01mm tolerance.
- To be capable of working to BS 308 drawing standards and its associated BS standards.
- To be able to use advanced measuring equipment to ensure work carried out falls within drawing tolerances and customer requirements.
- Respond to emergency calls from manufacturing teams, diagnosing faults, and carrying out necessary repairs to fix injection moulding/ press tools breakdowns.
- Able to diagnose & address root cause of repeated issues within injection moulding tools.
- Additional duties in line with the above.
Job Requirements:
* 3+ years of experience as a Toolmaker, ideally within the plastic injection mould industry.
* Certification in tool and die making or a related field
* Proficient in the use of machinery such as lathes, drills, grinding, milling, spark eroding etc.
* Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Knowledge of advanced materials and manufacturing techniques
