Summary
The HCA will work closely with the nursing team, GPs, reception/administration staff, and other members of the practice team, ensuring good communication and collaborative working. Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Phlebotomy - Blood pressure measurement (standalone or as part of Health Checks) - NHS Health Checks, including blood pressure, height, weight, BMI, lifestyle assessment, cholesterol testing (if trained), and urinalysis - ECG recording - Restocking and maintaining cleanliness of clinical areas - Participation in maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff - Undertake other agreed clinical tasks following appropriate training and competency sign-off - Daily fridge temperature checks (if part of clinic workflow) Administration & Professional Responsibilities Ensure clinical computer records are accurate, complete, and coded correctly. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times in line with Information Governance, the NHS Code of Confidentiality, and the Data Protection Act 2018.
