Summary

German Speaking Sales Support

Location: Preston PR2 9LJ

Hours: 39.5 hours per week

Salary: Circa 30,000 p.a., depending on experience

Our client is a leading manufacturer of moulded plastic products, operating in vehicle, fire, and environmental safety markets. They are a market leader in several European countries and ship to over 60 countries worldwide. Operating from a 4-acre manufacturing site in Preston, Lancashire, and a 3.7-acre distribution site nearby, the group employs around 155 people. They also have a subsidiary in Seclin, France, employing 17 staff. Group turnover is approximately £22m.

They are seeking a fluent German-speaking Sales Support professional to provide comprehensive support to their field-based sales team and manage day-to-day communication with their German customer base. This is a varied and dynamic role, combining customer service, sales administration, pricing analysis, and cross-department collaboration.

Experience & Skills

Essential

• Experience in a customer-facing role
• Experience working within a team environment
• Telephone-based customer support experience
• Data entry and administrative experience

Desirable

• Experience supporting international customers
• Manufacturing sector experience
• Sales reporting and data analysis experience

Your Responsibilities

• Act as the key point of contact for German accounts and warehouse partners
• Handle customer enquiries (phone and email) regarding products, pricing, availability, and transport
• Process customer orders, raise proformas, and generate quotations
• Prepare sales reports, pricing analysis, and customer data
• Support pricing activities, including price comparisons and price list compilation
• Proofread and review German-language materials
• Manage website enquiries and direct them to the appropriate distributor or account manager
• Liaise closely with multiple departments across the business
• Attend trade exhibitions in the UK and abroad (time off in lieu for weekend work)
• Ensure German customers consistently receive exceptional service
• Abide by Company Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) policies
