TeacherActive is proud to be working with a wide network of Secondary Schools across Hull, and we are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to provide high-quality classroom supervision on a day-to-day and longer-term supply basis.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play an important role in supporting schools by delivering pre-set lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment in the teacher’s absence. You won’t be required to plan lessons, allowing you to focus on classroom management, student engagement, and supporting learning.

The Role

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects

  
  

• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a productive learning environment

  
  

• Support students aged 11–16 to stay focused and engaged in their work

  
  

• Work flexibly across different departments and schools

  
  

• Adapt confidently to new classrooms and daily challenges

  
  What We’re Looking For

  • Relevant Teaching qualification or at least 6 months’ experience working with young people

    
    

  • Confidence managing a classroom of students aged 11–16

    
    

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills

    
    

  • A flexible and positive attitude

    
    

  • The ability to build rapport with students quickly
