Summary
Warehouse Team Lead - Permanent | Salary Negotiable + Overtime
We're hiring a Warehouse Team Lead to join a warehouse and distribution operation based in Lanarkshire. In this key supervisory role, you'll be responsible for leading a team, ensuring accurate despatch, maintaining inventory control and upholding high safety standards. This is a full‑time, permanent opportunity offering a negotiable salary dependant on experience, a continental shift pattern and strong ongoing support to ensure you excel in the role.
The Opportunity:
- Leading a small team of warehouse operatives across all warehouse functions including goods‑in, storage, picking, and despatch.
- Overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure goods are despatched accurately and efficiently.
- Monitoring attendance, timekeeping, breaks and managing holiday plan to maintain adequate shift cover.
- Regularly reviewing performance, coaching, and identifying training need within the team.
- Ensuring all Health & Safety, warehouse procedures and compliance processes are followed in line with company standards.
- Operate and update warehouse management systems to ensure accurate inventory control.
- Responding professionally to any customer queries; escalating when required.
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
- Support continuous improvement strategies across the operational areas.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience leading at team within a warehouse & distribution environment.
- A solid work history.
- Clear, confident communication skills.
- Good system knowledge, ideally including Warehouse Management Systems and Excel.
