Summary

Summary:

Worcester City Council is seeking a hardworking and reliable Grounds Maintenance worker to join our City Services team. This role is essential for maintaining the high standards of our public green spaces, with a specific focus on the sensitive and prestigious environment of the citys crematorium. You will be responsible for ensuring that lawns, gardens, and communal areas remain healthy, functional, and visually appealing for visitors. As this role involves working in the public eye, a high level of professionalism and respect is required at all times.

Responsibilities:

Execute daily grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, hedge trimming, weeding, pruning, and planting to keep outdoor spaces tidy and attractive.
Drive council vehicles to transport tools, equipment, and crew members between key sites including KGV, Astwood, and St Johns.
Assist with manual labour tasks as required to support the wider Bereavement and Green Spaces management team.
Act as a representative of the Council while working in public areas, maintaining a polite and professional demeanour.
Essentials:

Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or manual labour in an outdoor environment is preferred.
A full, valid UK Driving Licence is essential for travelling between sites.

This role requires a Basic DBS
