Summary
Connect Appointments is recruiting a Glass Operator to join a Livingston-based manufacturing client on a temporary basis, with the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.
Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality and precision production.
What's on offer?
- Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm - with an early Friday finish
- £12.21 per hour, paid weekly
- Temporary to permanent opportunity
As a Glass Operator, your duties will include:
- Operating Waterjet cutting systems to execute precise cuts with minimal waste
- Using mobile cranes and vacuum suction systems to handle large glass sheets safely
- Dressing and trimming glass edges to exact size and finish specifications
- Inspecting glass for chips, scratches or structural defects throughout production
- Carrying out routine cleaning and basic maintenance on equipment
The ideal Glass Operator will have:
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- A careful, safety-conscious approach to handling fragile materials
- Good attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
- The ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
