We are seeking a motivated and experienced LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle to transport goods efficiently across various routes. Your expertise in driving.
Duties
Safely operate a Class 2 commercial vehicle, curtainsided with tail lift.
Load and unload freight using electric pallet truck.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Deliver goods accurately to designated locations while adhering to scheduled routes and delivery times
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports
Requirements
Proven experience in commercial driving
Valid LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) license with a clean driving record
Familiarity with loading/unloading procedures using pallet trucks or other handling equipment
Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members effectively
Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and cargo securement
