Summary
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Press brake / bandsaw Operator to join our Metal Prep Department, playing a key role in producing high-quality components for the next stage of production.
This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working with machines, and thrives in a busy, hands-on environment.
Salary: £15.75ph plus shift allowance
Shifts: Mon-Fri (6am-2pm) and Mon-Fri (2pm-10pm)
Duties
Operating Press brake / bandsaw, to produce components to specification.
Checking parts for accuracy and quality, ensuring all items are correctly labelled and ready for the next stage of production.
Following job bookings and machine assignments to keep production on schedule.
Identifying and reporting any issues with machines or jobs, helping to minimise downtime.
Working closely with Engineering and other departments to resolve queries as needed.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working area.
Requirements
Experience in Press brake / bandsaw operation.
Comfortable reading and working from engineering drawings.
Methodical, with strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work.
Enthusiastic and proactive, with a hands-on approach and strong work ethic.
A fast learner who enjoys taking initiative and solving problems on the job.
