Your focus will be on improving conversion, revenue and the overall customer journey within the search and browse experience. You’ll also own and oversee improvements to event processes and lead the delivery of key seasonal events throughout the year.

You will be responsible for

  • Owning and continuously improving the Tesco Grocery Home Shopping taxonomy, ensuring it reflects customer needs and commercial priorities. You’ll collaborate across online business units to maintain a cohesive and scalable taxonomy.
  • Leading and developing a well‑established team of specialists, fostering growth, innovation and high performance.

  • Creating and using analytical dashboards to inform decision‑making and measure performance.
  • Upholding Tesco’s Business Code of Conduct and acting with integrity and due diligence at all times.

You will need

  • A strong understanding of taxonomy design and internal search optimisation.

  • Proven experience working effectively in multidisciplinary teams and contributing across the full product development lifecycle.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of key retail drivers.
  • The ability to think conceptually across multiple platforms (desktop, mobile, tablet) and channels (Whoosh, GHS, Marketplace, F&F).
  • Flexibility, strong organisation, a proactive approach and creativity, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Experience as a people manager who can motivate and develop a team.
  • Skill in building strong working relationships with peers and senior leaders.
  • Confidence in communicating and presenting effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Comfort working collaboratively within a team, while being able to deliver independently when required.
