Summary
Our client a Civils and Remediation contractor is seeking an experienced Earthworks Foreman to oversee the earthworks phase of a large new build development in CH41 Birkenhead, Wirral.
Commencing in April 2026 you will be responsible with supervising daily site operations, managing crews, subcontractors and plant machinery to execute all excavation, grading and earthmoving tasks ensuring technical specifications, quality standards and deadlines are met whilst maintaining strict health and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities in this role will involve :
Site Operations / Plant Management - Daily inspecting and coordinating of plant operations to include plant machinery checks, equipment record maintenance and performing risk assessments to ensure safety regulations are met throughout the works programme to ensure full compliance.
You will be responsible in overseeing material placement, compaction and testing in coordination with the site engineers and will also oversee relevant administrative production records and labour time management.
You must have proven experience in earthworks, civils or groundworks on a supervisory level, and be trained in plant machinery management.
You must hold a valid SMSTS card, have in date First Aid Certification and be able to provide an up to date CV detailing your previous work history as well as checkable references in this field.
Start Date - 7.4.2026 / 45 Hours per week Monday to Friday with possible overtime / Programme duration 18 weeks approx.
Remuneration package is negotiable and is dependant upon experience.
