Job Summary

We are currently looking to recruit a Solution Architect to support the design, governance, and assurance of technical solutions across a portfolio of projects. Our Architecture team form part of the Technology service, and we work closely with business analysts, product owners and project managers from our Transformation service.

As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for translating complex business and user requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable architectures that align with enterprise principles. You will ensure that all solution designs comply with internal governance processes and pass assurance at key design stages. You will support decision-making and provide technical guidance and direction throughout the solution lifecycle, including requirements validation, technology evaluation and procurement to enable successful implementation from discovery through to transition.



Experience / Qualifications

Experience

In depth understanding of solutions architecture, gained through experience leading the design of technology solutions
A solid background in producing solution artefacts that guide project and delivery teams.
Knowledge of software and systems development methods
Effective stakeholder management with experience working with colleagues at different seniority levels to make decisions on technology choices
Knowledge of a wide range of technologies including cloud platforms, API’s and enterprise software and infrastructure

The role offers Hybrid Working, with expectation to attend offices in North Yorkshire when required including County Hall Northallerton
