This is an exciting opportunity to join Jones Bros as an Apprentice Plant & Fleet Support Administrator, suited to a motivated,
organised, and practical individual looking to start a career within plant, fleet, and civil engineering operations. Working
within a well-established Plant Department, you will support the coordination, administration, and performance of plant and fleet
activities across the business while completing a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship. This role offers hands on
experience, structured training, and clear progression opportunities within a leading civil engineering contractor.




The Role




Reporting to the Group Plant & Fleet Manager, you will support the Plant and Fleet team with day to day administrative and
coordination tasks, helping to ensure plant and operative information is accurate, up to date, and aligned with operational
requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining plant records, assisting with compliance documentation, and working closely
with site teams and internal departments.




Alongside your role, you will complete a City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration, developing the skills,
knowledge, and experience needed to progress within plant and fleet operations.




Key Responsibilities:




* Support the updating and maintenance of the Operated Plant – Operative Allocation spreadsheet
* Assist with plant and fleet administration, including plant movements and status updates
* Support the maintenance of plant registers and compliance documentation
* Assist with data entry, reporting, and basic analysis relating to plant utilisation and availability
* Communicate with site teams and internal departments under supervision
* Support the wider Plant and Fleet team with general administrative tasks




What we are looking for:




* A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team with other departments.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.

* High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Competency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
