The post is available is a 10 PA post. The department has a flexible policy of job planning. We currently run a limited evening and Saturday service, with outsourcing of on call at other times
Weston General Hospital is developing into a thriving hospital at the heart of the community. The Consultant Radiologist post is a newly created position which involves the development of safe, high-quality and sustainable emergency and planned care accessible to the local people.

The planned changes mean more people can receive the very best treatment and care faster, with shorter stays in hospital supported by closer working with community-based health and social care teams, providing seamless care to our patients

This post is for a General Radiologist to take part in the general workload of the department. A special interest in MSK, Neuro / Spine, GU or GI would be welcomed. Other subspecialty interests may be accommodated upon discussion with the Clinical Lead (John.O’Brien@uhbw.nhs.uk).The Department participates in clinicoradiological meetings / MDT’s for Upper and Lower GI, Gynaecology, Myeloma, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Stroke and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to become a core member of MDT/ meeting(s) depending upon their particular expertise and interest.
