Summary
Job title: Personal Assistant
Location: PENCOED
Hours of work: 6 hours a week spread over Monday to Friday / 2 hours a day 3 days a week with some flexibility
Rate of pay: £14.50
Introduction:
A committed caring and flexible Personal assistant is required to support a 20 year old young lady with accessing the local community, going out to the local shops and places of interest. Ideally looking for someone sporty who enjoys the outdoors and loves animals.
Hours are flexible over a Monday and Tuesday and fully funded through Direct Payments. Must have a full UK drivers’ licence and be DBS checked.
Main Duties:
Support and encouragement with activities of interest
Ensure her safety at all times during your working period
Support and encouragement to try new activities to improve my confidence and abilities.
Become a friend and engage in conversation.
Support with Independent living skills for example accompanying to the local shop and understanding money.
Local to the area would be beneficial.
Person Specification:
Active and energetic with a love of sports and the outdoors
A love of animals
Proactive individual with local knowledge
A good sense of humour
Caring, honest, responsible, and patient
Flexible around hours of work and main duties of the job
Reliable with good time keeping
Able to use own initiative and be self-motivated.
Able to understand confidentiality and be aware of privacy.
An ability to develop and maintain a supportive relationship
Good communication and interpersonal skills
A full clean UK driver’s license and use of own car essential. You must have business use on your insurance and be able to use the vehicle within work hours.
Benefits
5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro rata).
SSP will be paid at the lower amount of either £123.25 OR 80% of normal earnings. For workers whose pay varies week to week, this will be an average of the previous 8 weeks' pay.

This appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check, which will incur no cost to the applicant.
