Summary
To independently triage referrals and determine appropriate care pathways, ensuring patients are directed to the most suitable services in a timely manner while coordinating onward referrals when specialist input or additional investigations are required. To undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and apply advanced analytical skills to interpret complex clinical information, including imaging and pathology reports, in order to formulate accurate diagnoses, prognoses, and tailored management plans. To manage and organise a designated caseload of patients, prioritising clinical needs effectively while ensuring efficient use of time and resources to deliver safe and timely care. To maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation, ensuring all consultations, treatments, and outcomes are clearly recorded in line with legal, organisational, and professional standards. To provide education, guidance, and specialist advice to patients, relatives, carers, and healthcare professionals, supporting understanding of foot health management and encouraging engagement in treatment and rehabilitation plans. To contribute to service improvement and professional development activities, including participating in audits, training programmes, and clinical supervision while supporting knowledge sharing and the development of best practice within the podiatry service.
