As a Catering Supervisor with ISS UK, you will be at the heart of ward catering operations, reporting to the Head of Patient Catering - Wards.​

This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will support the preparation and service of high-quality meals, ensuring full compliance with all patient ward catering standards.

You will lead and supervise a team of up to 45 ward hostesses per sheet, guiding them to deliver an efficient, professional, and positive catering experience across all wards.

The Role

Supervise and support a motivated, passionate catering team, acting as a hands-on working supervisor.

Ensure compliance with all standards for patient ward catering, including hygiene, safety, and service protocols.

Deliver outstanding customer care, ensuring patients and ward staff receive a positive dining experience.

Maintain excellent levels of cleanliness and hygiene across all catering areas.

Uphold Health & Safety standards, ensuring a safe and secure working environment for staff and patients.

Ensure meals are delivered promptly, accurately, and in line with ward schedules.

Represent the catering and operations teams with a strong focus on client satisfaction.

Carry out weekly stock takes and support stock control procedures, ensuring efficient use of resources.

About You

Enthusiastic, proactive, and passionate about food, service, and leading a team.

Previous catering experience is preferred, ideally with supervisory responsibility in a ward or healthcare environment.

Strong understanding of food hygiene principles, safe kitchen practices, and patient catering requirements.

Confident in following procedures while also making decisions that benefit patients and the service.

Customer-focused, always putting the patient and ward experience first.

A determined team player and leader, who motivates and guides others by example.

Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills, capable of managing a large team efficiently.
