Summary
We are looking for a Caterer to join our Care Home in Gumfreston, Tenby. Helping to ensure our residents enjoy a nutritious, varied, and enjoyable dining experience.
Purpose of the Position:
To prepare and cook a balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment.
To control systems of food allocation to minimise wastage.
Key Responsibilities:
- To maintain a balanced diet and various diet and varied menus.
- To be aware of residents’ needs and dietary preferences
- To maintain the kitchen equipment, as specified by respective manufacturers.
- To monitor and record freezer and fridge temperatures daily.
- To maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the kitchen as I.A.W. - Environmental Health guidelines.
- To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.
Essential Skills & Experience:
-Previous Kitchen/Catering Experience is desirable but not essential
-Good IT skills.
-A reasonable level of numeracy and literacy.
-Good communication skills, Attention to detail and have a calm approach.
-Flexible and able to work in a team.
-Willingness to complete in-house training for this job role.
