We are seeking an experienced and strategic senior nurse leader to join the Corporate Nursing Team as Physical Health Nurse Lead – Trustwide (Band 8B) on a 0.4 WTE permanent contract, working as a job share with the existing post holder.
Reporting to the Director of Nursing and accountable to the Chief Nurse, this is a high-profile Trust-wide role providing professional and operational leadership for:
• Physical Health in Mental Health
• Tobacco Dependency Services (including Early Implementer programme)
• Medical Devices governance
• Resuscitation services
This role offers the opportunity to influence strategy, governance and quality improvement at organisational and system level.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
• Provide Trust-wide professional nursing leadership
• Lead delivery of programmes across Physical Health, Tobacco, Medical Devices and Resuscitation
• Develop and implement strategy, policies and governance frameworks
• Provide line management to specialist leads and corporate teams
• Oversee workforce planning, training and development
• Lead audit, quality improvement and performance monitoring
• Manage delegated budgets effectively
• Represent the Trust with system partners including ICB and NHSE
• Provide expert clinical advice to senior leaders and clinical teams
