We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residential Care Home Manager to lead the operations of our care home in Portsmouth. As the Residential Care Home Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily management of our care home, ensuring the highest standards of care, and leading a team of dedicated staff members to deliver personalized, high-quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:-
Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential care home in Portsmouth, ensuring excellent care and well-being for all residents.

Lead, manage, and motivate a team of care staff, ensuring a supportive and collaborative working environment.

Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, ensuring their dignity, safety, and comfort are maintained.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, CQC (Care Quality Commission) standards, and industry best practices.

Oversee the management of budgets, staffing resources, and operational costs to ensure financial efficiency.

Communicate regularly with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure smooth service delivery and personalized care.

Conduct staff training and development programs to enhance care skills and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices.

Evaluate and monitor the delivery of services to ensure continuous improvement in care quality and resident satisfaction.
Key Skills and Qualifications:-
Proven experience as a Residential Care Home Manager, or in a managerial role within a care home setting.

Strong leadership, management, and team-building skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage residents and their families effectively.

Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations, CQC standards, and quality assurance processes.

Ability to manage budgets, resources, and operational costs effectively.

Relevant qualifications, including an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Care Services (or equivalent).

Experience in developing care plans, managing risk assessments, and leading staff training.
