We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residential Care Home Manager to lead the operations of our care home in Portsmouth. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential care home in Portsmouth, ensuring excellent care and well-being for all residents.

  
  

• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of care staff, ensuring a supportive and collaborative working environment.

  
  

• Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, ensuring their dignity, safety, and comfort are maintained.

  
  

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, CQC (Care Quality Commission) standards, and industry best practices.

  
  

• Oversee the management of budgets, staffing resources, and operational costs to ensure financial efficiency.

  
  

• Communicate regularly with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure smooth service delivery and personalized care.

  
  

• Conduct staff training and development programs to enhance care skills and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices.

  
  

• Evaluate and monitor the delivery of services to ensure continuous improvement in care quality and resident satisfaction.

  
  Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Residential Care Home Manager, or in a managerial role within a care home setting.

    
    

  • Strong leadership, management, and team-building skills.

    
    

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage residents and their families effectively.

    
    

  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations, CQC standards, and quality assurance processes.

    
    

  • Ability to manage budgets, resources, and operational costs effectively.

    
    

  • Relevant qualifications, including an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Care Services (or equivalent).

    
    

  • Experience in developing care plans, managing risk assessments, and leading staff training.
