Summary

Neway International are seeking a Reablement Assistant to join our client based with Liverpool City Council.

Location: Upper Baker Street, Liverpool, L6 1NE
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Start Date: 30/03/2026
End Date: 12‑week assignment (with possible extension)
Pay Rate: £112.00 PAYE per day / £147.28 Umbrella per day
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

About the Client
Liverpool City Council’s Adult Social Care & Health service provides essential support to adults across the city, helping individuals regain independence, maintain daily living skills, and remain safely in their own homes. The Reablement Service works closely with health and social care professionals to deliver person‑centred, short‑term interventions.

The Role
The Reablement Assistant will support service users with daily living tasks as outlined in their support plans, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. The role involves personal care, use of moving and handling equipment, supporting household tasks, and working collaboratively with allied health and social care professionals.

Key Responsibilities
Support service users with daily living tasks as agreed in individual support plans.

Provide personal care using appropriate moving and handling equipment.

Work with individuals to develop and maintain independence in daily living skills.

Encourage and support service users with kitchen tasks, household maintenance, laundry, and personal health routines.

Work alongside health and social care professionals to minimise risk and enable individuals to remain at home.

Implement person‑centred support plans and participate in assessments and reviews.

Promote dignity, independence, empowerment, and respect for cultural and religious needs.

Maintain accurate records and report any significant changes to the Line Manager.

Support service users with activities and recreational pursuits.

Work flexibly to meet the changing needs of the service.

Adhere to all Council policies, including safeguarding, equal opportunities, and anti‑discriminatory practice.

Work from any location within the city boundary as required.

Candidate Requirements
MUST hold an up‑to‑date face‑to‑face (classroom) Moving & Handling Certificate.

Experience providing personal care or reablement support (desirable).

Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team.

Strong communication skills and a person‑centred approach.

Ability to maintain accurate records and follow support plans.

Commitment to promoting dignity, independence, and safeguarding.

Reliable, flexible, and able to work across different service locations.
