Vehicle Technician
Dorking Area
£35,000 – £40,000 Basic Salary
Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm (flexible start/finish available)
Brand New Workshop & Equipment
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their team in the Dorking area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a brand-new, fully equipped workshop with modern tools and a supportive working environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will carry out a range of core workshop duties, focusing mainly on routine servicing and vehicle preparation. The role offers a steady workflow consisting largely of standard mechanical work rather than heavy repairs.
Responsibilities include:
• Sales preparation of vehicles
• Routine servicing and maintenance
• Brake replacements and general repairs
• Basic diagnostics and fault finding
• Preparing vehicles to a high standard ready for sale or customer collection
Most of the work is straightforward servicing and maintenance, with minimal heavy mechanical jobs such as clutch replacements.
The Ideal Candidate
Our client is looking for someone who:
• Has solid experience in general servicing and repairs
• Ideally has worked with prestige or premium vehicles
• Has experience within an independent garage environment
• Is confident carrying out basic diagnostics and fault finding
• Takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
What’s On Offer
• £35,000–£40,000 basic salary

• Monday to Friday hours (8:00am–5:00pm) with some flexibility
• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
