Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified teacher who can support the delivery of the BTEC Tech Award Level 2 in Digital Information Technology to students in KS3 and KS4. You will work alongside the Principal Alex Reynolds and the UTC staff team to further develop a centre of excellence focusing on Engineering and Creative Digital Media (CDM) which are both underpinned with the application of IT.
You will take a major role in the delivery of BTEC Tech Award Level 2 in Digital Information Technology (BTEC DIT) to students from Year 9 through KS4. The qualification forms an important element of our KS3 and KS4 curriculum offer with skills in IT critical to success in both of the UTCs specialist sectors. The successful candidate will join our established Creative Digital Media (CDM) team, and dependent on skillset, may contribute to the delivery of other qualifications in the department
You will be a highly skilled practitioner who understands the challenges of educating 13- to 19-year-olds in an employer-led technology rich environment. Effective partnership working is absolutely critical to the UTC’s success. We also welcome applications from early careers teachers who have the skills and attributes to develop their expertise within our unique environment.
