As a Survival Equipment Senior Technician colleague in our RAF Brize Norton you’ll help keep our built environment operating smoothly so employees, partners, and communities can trust the spaces they rely on every day. You’ll play a key role in supporting the operational output with tasks that contribute to safe, efficient, and well‑maintained sites.
In this role, you’ll provide vital technical and administrative support that enables colleagues and engineers to carry out their work effectively. Your efforts will help ensure, our planned maintenance programme stays on track, and essential information is captured accurately so we can create impactful solutions and continue making a positive impact on the communities we serve.
What you’ll do as a Survival Equipment Senior Technician

You’ll be entrusted to:
- You will be expected to have a minimum of 2 years relevant In Industry or the Armed Forces on Aircraft Survival Equipment Maintenance.
- Ideally Life Rafts, Life Jackets and Survival Packs.
- The ability to understand and work to technical manuals, regulatory requirements, appropriate MoD legislation and local Serco and RAF Brize Norton processes and procedures.
- Due to the nature of the role, you must be able to achieve MoD Security Clearance.
- Support the delivery of planned equipment maintenance by coordinating tasks, updating systems, and monitoring progress.
- Liaise with operational colleagues, contractors, and suppliers to arrange access, schedule works, and resolve day‑to‑day queries.
- Produce and distribute reports, logs, and updates to ensure stakeholders have accurate and timely information.
- Help ensure estates activity follows relevant processes, standards, and regulatory requirements, including health and safety procedures.
