Schedule: Full time 40hours per week, Monday – Friday 8.30am-5pm, office based 5 days per week.
Ready to impact a better future?As a Case Administrator in our Custody team, you’ll play a key role in supporting the safe, accurate and effective management of prisoner records, ensuring our work makes a positive impact on people and communities.You’ll help maintain high‑quality administration across a range of essential custody processes, supporting colleagues and partner agencies to keep everything running smoothly while contributing to a safer future for those in our care.
What you’ll do as a Case AdministratorYou’ll be entrusted to:
- Provide accurate administration across key custody areas including parole, public protection, sentence calculations, licences, courts, file processing and releases.
- Support daily operational needs by maintaining prisoner core files, using internal systems and ensuring records are completed to a high standard.
- Carry out sentence calculations in line with required frameworks (following training), maintaining competency and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with internal colleagues and external agencies to ensure safe, lawful and timely progression of cases.
- Handle confidential information responsibly in line with established procedures and frameworks.

- Strong administration experience gained in a busy environment.
- Clear and confident communication skills, written and verbal.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- An interest in developing expertise within custody processes (previous experience helpful but not essential).
Vetting and checks:
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, depending on the nature of the role, you may need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
