Please note this is a fixed term position for 12 months.Working hours: Minimum of 35 hours per week (Flexible approach - Mon to Fri work pattern with occasional weekends)Interview Date: To be confirmedThe Salvation Army, Norwich Mile Cross Corps, sits on the edge of one of the most deprived areas of Norwich City and serves the community through its Charity Shop and outreach programmes.Job Summary:We are seeking a committed and visionary Christian leader to provide spiritual, pastoral, and operational leadership to a local Salvation Army expression. This is a unique opportunity to live out your calling by leading worship, discipleship, and mission while engaging meaningfully with the local community.Key Responsibilities:The post-holder will be a visible and accessible leader, modelling a Christ-centred lifestyle and embodying The Salvation Army’s identity, values, and mission. Working with staff, volunteers, and partners, you will shape and deliver a vibrant programme of worship, discipleship, social action, and mission that is grounded in Scripture and Salvation Army doctrine, while exploring fresh and creative expressions of church.The successful candidate(s) will:Alongside your spiritual leadership, you will provide effective people management, oversee finances and buildings, and work collaboratively with divisional teams and external partners to ensure the mission is well-governed, sustainable, and impactful. Able to balance ministry leadership with sound operational and financial stewardship. This role calls for someone who is:Passionate about Christian discipleship and missionConfident in leading worship, prayer, teaching, and pastoral careSkilled in leadership, collaboration, and community engagementCommitted to personal spiritual formation and ongoing developmentThe role has an Occupational Requirement (OR) for the post holder to be a Salvation Army Soldier where you will participate in and lead the worship, mission and life of this local Salvation Army expression.
