Van Driver - Alton - £34,000 per annum - Immediate Start.
Our client, a well-established drainage materials supplier based in Alton, is currently seeking a reliable Van Driver to join their team with an immediate start available.
This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a professional Van Driver who enjoys working independently while delivering essential materials to building sites across the region.
Role Overview:
-As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for delivering drainage materials to new development building sites.
-You will be driving a flatbed vehicle and completing between 6-10 long-distance deliveries per day, ensuring all loads are securely fastened using ratchet straps.
-Full training will be provided.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 07:00 - 17:00
- 1-hour lunch
- 45-hour working week
Pay:
- £14.53 per hour (£34,000 per annum)
- Weekly pay
- 12-week temporary period
- Temp to Perm Opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving a flatbed van delivering drainage materials
- Completing 6-10 deliveries per day
- Delivering to new development building sites
- Safely securing loads using ratchet straps
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Maintaining a professional and helpful attitude on site
Requirements:
- Must hold a full UK driving licence
- Previous van driving experience
- Confidence driving long distances
- Experience using ratchet straps to secure loads
- Good knowledge of safe loading and delivery practices
- A reliable and professional work ethic
