Easthorpe School is an independent specialist provision supporting children and young people across the East Midlands who live with their families, foster carers, or in residential children's homes.

Since opening in November 2022, the school has continued to grow, and we are now expanding our team to support increasing pupil numbers within our Lower School provision (ages 7-13).

We pride ourselves on creating a nurturing, supportive learning environment, with small class sizes of no more than six pupils, supported by a qualified teacher and up to two teaching assistants. This structure allows us to provide highly personalised support and meaningful engagement for every learner.

Our pupils may present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside a range of additional diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Sensory Processing Disorder, attachment needs, and mild to moderate learning needs.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants to contribute to the development of a growing specialist provision while making a meaningful difference to the lives of young people. You will also have opportunities to develop your professional skills and contribute to key areas of school life, such as Forest School, sport, therapy programmes, food hygiene initiatives, or emotional literacy.

We welcome prospective applicants to visit the school, meet the Headteacher, and learn more about our approach.
