Summary

ASD Teaching Assistant
- Location: Binley, Coventry, CV3
- Pay Rate: £480 - £500 per week
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm (term-time only)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract: Full-time, long-term, temp to perm

Long Term Futures are seeking a passionate, caring and resilient SEN Teaching assistant who can provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil, with Autism and Behavioural Needs, in a welcoming primary school in Binley, Coventry. You will be supporting their engagement with learning, and positive behaviour development. This role is offered on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent.


Key Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with Autism and Behaviour Needs
- Spotting signs of dysregulation and helping the child to manage their emotions
- Supporting the pupil to access learning and integration.
- Developing a safe and trusting relationship with the pupil.
- Encouraging the pupil to build confidence in a comfortable and reassuring environment.


Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong experience working with children Autism and Behaviour Needs.
- Understanding of the Key Stage 2 Curriculum
- Calm, patient and consistent approach to learning support
- Strong relationship-building skills and a positive attitude
- Team Teach training or positive handling training is desirable
- Encouraging confidence, resilience and positive social interaction
